The Northampton Court of Common Pleas conducts formal admission into the Northampton County Bar Association during June and December of each year. The program generally consists of Bar Association officers relating useful information to the potential members and the Court issuing the oath of admittance.

Attorneys wishing to take part in the ceremonial process are encouraged to have a Bar Association sponsor submit a petition for consideration to the Court one week prior to the scheduled event. Sponsors will then present the potential members before the Court on the day the admissions are held. Upon conclusion of the ceremony the Association provides refreshments for family and friends.
