Judge Craig A. Dally graduated from Pen Argyl High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from Lafayette College in 1978. He earned his J.D. degree in 1988 from Villanova University School of Law. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Northampton County Bar Association, and was admitted to practice before all the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Supreme Court.
Judge Dally was formerly a partner in the law firm of Teel, Stettz, Shimer & DiGiacomo Ltd. after joining in 1988, and was a partner in the successor law firm of Pierce & Dally, LLP, in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, from 2000 through 2009.
In November of 1996, Judge Dally was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to represent the 138th Legislative District in Northampton County, and was re-elected to six consecutive terms, with his service concluding on January 4, 2010. During his tenure, Judge Dally served as Vice Chairman of the Appropriations Committee and Chairman of the House Game and Fisheries Committee. He also served on the Judiciary, Rules, Professional Licensure and Liquor Control Committees. In 2001 and 2008, Judge Dally was named Legislator of the Year by the Pennsylvania Sheriffs' Association. In 1998, he was recognized by the Big Brothers Big Sisters State Association of Pennsylvania for outstanding support of youth mentoring, and was named the 2009 Legislative Champion by the Pennsylvania State Alliance of YMCAs.
On January 4, 2010, Judge Dally was inducted to serve as Judge on the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas. Judge Dally is a member of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges, and serves on the Legislative and the Executive Committees.
He has served on the Board of Directors of Two Rivers Health & Wellness Foundation from 2003 to present. In addition, Judge Dally has served on the Board of Directors of the Nazareth YMCA from 1993 to present, completing a term as President during 1995-1996. Judge Dally also serves on the Board of Directors of the Courtney Anne Diacont Memorial Foundation.
Judge Dally's past community service includes serving on the Board of Directors of Moravian Hall Square Retirement Community from 2006 to 2010; the Board of Directors of Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency from 2007 to 2010; and the Church Council at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church from 2003 to 2008. He was Vice President of Pennsylvania Public School Financing Authority from 2002 to 2006, and served as Vice President of Pennsylvania Higher Education Financing Authority from 2002 to 2006.
Judge Dally also served on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley for three years.
Judge Dally is married to the former Ann Capobianco, and they have two children, Sarah and Alison. They reside in Bushkill Township.
